Leaders at the Burkesville church

At this time, the Burkesville church does not have formal leadership (there are no elders presently). The church has had elders for many years on other occasions, and is working toward appointing men to lead as shepherds again in the future.

In lieu of elders, several older members at Burkesville set a wonderful example before the congregation. Though they have no scriptural authority to act as elders, they lead in a way that encourages and uplifts the group (1 Corinthians 16.15-18).

The congregation continues to seek out men who are qualified (Titus 1.5-9, 1 Timothy 3.1-9) and willing to lead. Please pray that we will have such men soon.
